Helpful Guides

Check out our guide to online learning tools (in English and Spanish) to help kids learn online. You might also like our tips for health and hygiene issues and our guide to herbal remedies – things that helped us a lot. Recently, we also started an “Easy Autism Guide” on Facebook, where you can go to get help and answers when questions arise. Not a support page, this guide allows you to go directly to the topic you need, to find tools and advice quickly and easily. It’s like having a friend who knows what you are going through, who can share experiences – triumphs and failures.

Autism Awareness
items from our
Zazzle Store

Wearable Autism Awareness items can reduce the number of inquiring strangers and alert others that you need extra time or assistance. We particularly love autism awareness holiday t-shirts, which help my girl join in the holiday fun, comfortably. We have partnered with Zazzle to create and offer a wide variety of items that can be fully customized.

Media

Our media page features videos from several sources. Some we made ourselves – like the one pictured, with a local special needs school administrator talking about the importance of social stories – while some were made by others. My parents have a large collection of free herbal education videos and my chiropractor sends me videos from time to time that I have included as well. Any videos I find interesting and helpful, I will add there.

Social Media Support

Being a caregiver to autistic kids can be lonely and isolating. Come and connect with us on our Social Media support pages for news, information, tips, support, and even a few laughs. I am working on developing an Autism Guide on Facebook. You are welcome to come check it out while it grows.

Autism and CBD

There is a lot of buzz about cannabis products and autism, due to how well it helps with a variety of common autism symptoms. My severe girl does well with THC and my mild girl requires medical grade CBD – so I have started making my own products and I love to share and talk about them with parents and caregivers who would like more information about cannabis for autism. I know social stories can make a big difference in the lives of autistic kids, but I have had a hard time getting started with them. Your stories are so easy to use – I just love them!
